Private Investigator Mark Ford and his wife, Desiree, opened the Rochester Spy Shop in December 2005 in a small house on 3rd Street in downtown Rochester, Michigan. Within a few months the Rochester Spy Shop Online Store was created. By summer 2006 it was already necessary to move into a bigger location. The new Rochester Spy Shop opened on Main Street in September 2006. The Ford's also own and operate Risk Security & Investigations, which is located in the same building.
Ford also serves as Board President of the Michigan Chapter of Justice for Children; a non-profit advocate and support system for abused children.
